How to File a MEPCO Complaint

The fastest channels

Call 118

MEPCO's helpline for complaints including wrong bills, meter issues and outages. Keep your reference number ready.

SMS 8118

For complaint registration by text message (useful when call lines are busy).

MEPCO also lists the toll-free number 0800-63726 and 0319-9757789 on its website, and PITC runs the online CCMS complaint portal (linked from mepco.com.pk) where you can file and track complaints. The MEPCO SMART app has a built-in complaint + track-complaint section.

Complaining about a wrong bill

1
Compare readings. Check the "current reading" on the bill against your actual meter today. If the bill reading is higher than the meter shows, that's strong evidence of an error or estimated billing.
2
Photograph your meter (reading + meter number visible) as proof.
3
File the complaint via 118 / 8118 / CCMS / app, quoting your reference number, bill number and the correct reading.
4
Keep the complaint/tracking number. If it isn't resolved, escalate to your sub-division office, then to NEPRA's complaint cell.

Other common complaints

  • Bill never delivered: report chronic non-delivery to your sub-division office; meanwhile check and print bills online.
  • Power outage: 118 handles outage reporting; for long unscheduled outages, note the complaint number and follow up.
  • Voltage problems: report to the sub-division office — persistent low/high voltage damages appliances.
